Ciara talks Beyonce comparison: “I know what work I put in to what I do and I know where I get my inspiration from and it’s definitely not the references that they put up on the Internet. People live for it. Negative energy travels faster than positive energy. Whoever it was, for them to dig deep down and find all those references, that’s ridiculous.”

Rick Ross on his Football career: When I started playing football in little league, all the small dudes could play, but I was too heavy. I was so focused that by the time I got to the eleventh grade, I was a blue-chip All-American. Over two years, I went from being nobody to being considered one of the top three linemen in Florida.”

The tequila brand 1800 and its parent company Proximo Spirits, Inc. have partnered with rapper Rick Ross sources say. The artist and his crew, the Triple C’s, will promote 1800 Tequila’s Select Silver, which it publicizes as the first and only 100 proof clear tequila available.

Ross and the Triple C’s will serve as brand ambassadors for the drink by publicly endorsing Select Silver. Ross, who recently released his third album, “Deeper than Rap” (Def Jam), first gained national attention with his 2006 album Port of Miami and its hit single “Hustlin’.”

Named after the year it was created, 1800 Tequila is a 100 percent blue agave tequila. Select Silver was launched in April 2008. Despite the feud with 50 Cent and the correctional officer pictures Rick Ross has been able to keep his brand going and ink business deal after deal.I guess that as long as you make good music who care there isn’t too much that can keep you down, BOSS!

Since the beginning of this year, Ross and 50 Cent have been going back and forth over the internet like crazy. It all sparked off when Ross dropped his single “Mafia Music”. On that single Ross popped 50 with a verbal jab, ” “I love to pay her bills, can’t wait to pay her rent/Curtis Jackson baby mama, I ain’t asking for a cent/Burn the house down, gotta buy another/Don’t forget the gas can jealous stupid motherfucker.” from there the gloves were off and it was on.

Of course 50 responded Back in true 50 form with an onslaught of material from songs, a webasod series Curley which is a play off a name Rick Ross created for him, cartoons, videos of Ross babies mothers, loll just all kinds of stuff. Ross didn’t hold back any punches either. He released more music going at 50, cartoon about G-Unit, and videos of him walking through 50’s hood. With all of this action hitting the internet daily Ross and 50 had fans glued to their computers. With all this attention on the two artist the business end of the celebrity feud started to take form for the two and even more for Universal Music Group which owns Def Jam and Interscope the labels that 50 and Ross is signed too. I read in an article on Billboard.com that during the time frame of this beef the sales of Ross’ two previous albums have increased by 62%, while sales of 50 Cent’s three catalog titles grew by 74%, according to Nielsen SoundScan. And the more that bloggers wrote about the battle, according to the online chatter tracker Nielsen BuzzMetrics, the more the two artists reaped the benefits (see chart, page 24). “Deeper Than Rap” looks as though it will debut atop the Billboard 200 next week with sales of about 150,000 copies which is pretty good considering the state of the music industry. Rather this is a planned WWF beef by there labels or the two really are going at each other, one thing is for sure I really don’t think their that mad with one another considering they both just put more money in each others pockets; this is nothing more than Hip Hop getting to the money.
