Michael Jackson’s Birthday (NYC 2009) from George Twopointoh

Yo people go all out for Mike to the point of tears and feeling violated if they can’t gather and sing his songs is it really that deep? I guess to some it is that deep.

Joe Jackson

The King of pop has finally received his burial date according to papa Joe. the nydailynews.com reported the story, Check it Out:

Michael Jackson will be buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles at 10 a.m. on Aug. 29 on what would have been the King of Pop’s 51st birthday, Joe Jackson told Steve Friess, the Daily News’ man in Las Vegas.

The elder Jackson indicated that the burial plans had been made final just in the past few days. He discussed the burial over ribs and jalapeño corn bread at the poolside Simon at Palms Place at the Palms hotel and casino. With him was the stunningly beautiful Crystal Marven, a singer he has signed to his new record label, and her mother.

The elder Jackson says he will return to Vegas after his son is buried that Saturday to receive a celebrity star in the singer’s honor at the Brenden Theatres, a cinema at the Palms that Michael Jackson and his children frequented. The Brenden will also screen the 1988 film “Moonwalker” that day.

Papa Jackson said he is supportive of the Los Angeles Police Department probe into his son’s June 25 death so far – but also said that cops may be making Dr. Conrad Murray “the fall guy for a whole lot of people.”

He did not elaborate. Murray was Michael Jackson’s personal doctor and with him the day he died. Murray’s lawyer has confirmed the Vegas-based doc is being investigated for administering the anesthetic Propofol and possibly other drugs. He denies wrongdoing.

A Vegas pharmacy was searched Aug. 11 for evidence Murray sought Propofol there. Meanwhile, Joe Jackson, who lives separately from the singer’s mom, Katherine, says she’s taken Michael’s death particularly hard, and frequently bursts out in tears.

Jackson said he had tried to see his son in the months before his death, but “the security guards wouldn’t let me get to him.” He also dismissed talk that the Neverland mansion would be moved to Las Vegas as his daughter, La Toya Jackson, told reporters last week.

“How would they do that?” Jackson asked.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson continues to dominate the charts. His no. 1 run is the longest for a male artist since 50 Cent’s “The Massacre” also did six weeks in late 2007 and early 2008 according to Billboard. It’s also his longest reign with the top album in the country since 1987’s “Bad” album spent six weeks as the U.S.’ best-seller. His 1991 “Dangerous” set earned four weeks at No. 1, while 1995’s “HIStory” was No. 1 for two weeks and 2001’s “Invincible” topped the tally for one week.

Last week’s No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Fabolous’ “Loso’s Way,” slips to No. 9 in its second week on the chart, moving 37,000 (down 63%). This week’s second-highest new entry comes from country quartet Gloriana, which arrives at No. 3 with its self-titled debut effort (44,000). The 16th volume of the popular children’s series “Kidz Bop Kids” series starts at No. 10 with 34,000 while R&B singer K’Jon sees his debut album “I Get Around” enter at No. 12 with 33,000.

As for the rest of the Billboard 200 top 10, the “Now 31″ compilation rises 4-2 with 45,000 (down 16%) while the Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.” slides up one notch to No. 4 with 44,000 (down 10%). Rising one rung, Kings of Leon’s “Only By the Night” also sold just over 44,000 (down 6%) while Daughtry’s “Leave This Town” (falling from No. 2 to No. 6) was just a handful of units behind Kings of Leon, also selling about 44,000 (down 29%). Maxwell’s “BLACKsummers’night” falls four slots to No. 7 with 43,000 (down 22%) and Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” flits up one position to No. 8 with 37,000 (down 1%).

michael jackson

It’s really sad how Michael Jackson’s story is continuing to unfold. From the personal insecurity issues, the use of pain killers because of the Pepsi accident, media slander, child molestation allegations, a skin disease, and a host of other issues surrounding this man, can only make you wonder how he was able to hold what bit of sanity he had left. Now, according to sources it seems that his doctor whom he trusted might have caused his death, Check it Out:

Dr. Conrad Murray shot up Michael Jackson with the powerful anesthetic propofol, which investigators believe killed the King of Pop, a bombshell report revealed Monday. A law enforcement official familiar with the probe of Jackson’s death told The Associated Press that Murray gave Jackson a dose of propofol sometime after midnight on the day he died. The official said Jackson regularly received propofol to sleep – not its intended purpose. A doctor would administer it when he went to sleep, then stop the intravenous drip when he wanted to wake up.

The official also provided details about the chaotic scene inside the rented Bel Air mansion where Jackson died on June 25, describing Jackson’s room as outfitted with three oxygen tanks and an IV drip. A porcelain doll wearing a dress was found on top of the covers of the bed. The bedroom was a mess, as was another bedroom that had some 20 handwritten notes stuck on the walls. One read: “Children are sweet and innocent.”

The temperature upstairs was stifling – the heating system was on high because Jackson always complained of feeling cold, the official said. Murray claimed he found the 50-year-old superstar unconscious in bed with only a faint pulse. He said he performed CPR on Jackson during a chaotic 20 to 30 minutes before a frantic 911 call for help.

michael-jackson-final-rehearsal night

According to sources it seems that Sony has officially lost its mind and will be agreeing to a deal to receive 80 hours worth on Michael Jackson footage for $50 mill. I know that people are eager to cash in off my guy’s legacy, but this may be one that Sony regrets. Considering the interest around his death is dying off by the time they get this footage edited down and into theaters I think that it will be very hard for them to recoup and profit off old footage. Check it Out:

Sony studio is expected to pay north of $50 million for worldwide rights to AEG Entertainment, which owns the footage and showed it to studios last week.

The film will feature at least three videos, including an alternative version of Jackson’s ”Thriller,” which were shot to be interstitial programming during the London concerts. The footage was meant to play in 3-D, but it’s unclear as yet whether the feature film will present it that way.

“High School Musical” director Kenny Ortega, who shot the rehearsal footage, is expected to direct the feature, and sources said he’s already beginning to put together the footage so Sony can release the film before year’s end.

I have to ask the question; when is the mainstream media going to let Michael Jackson rest in peace? Its going on two weeks since his death and the mainstream media is still kicking dust on his name. All kinds of malicious statements about the man’s children, his body being missing, his alleged drug addiction, the molestation charges, etc. I just don’t get mainstream media’s anything for ratings methods here.

For the most part, the blogosphere has moved on from the story and is respecting Mike’s family and legacy by not carrying on, but its as if mainstream is fixated with continuing with the nonsense. Well I would just like to say that enough is enough and this type of media coverage needs to come to an end. While reading Forbes,  I found a great article that really goes in depth about the nonsense the media continues to spew out, Check it Out:

It feels a bit like a media role reversal: A full two weeks after Michael Jackson’s demise, network newscasts and newspapers remain focused on stories related to his death. Yet the gossip-driven blogosphere has largely abandoned the story.

The latest data released by the Pew Foundation’s New Media Index found that in the first two days following Jackson’s June 25 death, 27% of links on blogs and other social media focused on Jackson. From June 29 and July 3, only 2% of such links continued to focus on his death (Pew used social monitoring services Icerocket and Technorati to track comments).

Yo I’m starting to think this is one of those Muhammad Ali and Howard Cosell type relationships here. You know!! In public Howard and Muhammad would go at it non-stop but behind the scenes they were great friends. To me, O’Reilly and Sharpton are homies on the low. I don’t believe all this back and forth the these two always engage in. At the end of the day it makes for good tv and it boosts ratings. I am willing to bet all of the money I got in the bank that these two sit back and blow Cubans together cigars that is lol! Who wants to take that bet?

Off the subject: I’m sitting here listening to that Classic Carter 3 Lil Wayne album and on that joint “Miss Understood” he goes in, but at the end (when he attempts to try and drop some knowledge going in on Al Sharpton, drugs, sex offenders, etc.) I’m thinking, this boy is way too high or something because he’s not making any sense. The boy can rap no doubt, but philosophizing is not his calling lolll!… ya know! I know he claims to be an alien and all but he need to fall back on the weed!
