Kobe Bryant has outdone Jerry West. With 44 points against the Grizzlies on Monday, Bryant became the Lakers all-time scoring leader with 25,208 career points; all while at a very young age. Do you think Kobe can potentially be the greatest of all time?

Yo Jamal Crawford has the Hawks looking like a real contender in the east, all while coming off the bench. They are tied with Boston (who the just beat the other day) for #3 with a record of 30 – 16 and six games behind the Cavs for the #1. He has really made this a strong team in the east this year.
Lebron and the Cavs sweep Kobe and the Lakers for the regular season 2-0. Lebron scored 37 last night as he willed the Cavs to a victory last night, check it out.
Kobe Bryant image has bounced back and in a major way since his 2003 sexual assault scandal. Because of this alleged incident Bryant lost millions in major endorsements including Nike, Spalding, and Coca-Cola, his image as the clean cut role model for the NBA was destroyed, and he became the subject of ridicule concerning the stereo types of star athletes.
Fast forward to today having the case behind him (which he was cleared of all charges), a championship ring, MVP award, and gold medal, Kobe’s image is right back where it left off per scandal and probably more favorable now than before; being that the general public view him as being real.
We’ve seen him go up, then down, then persevere and come back up again all while facing his problem in full view of public scrutiny. Kobe has overcame a lot in the years since the famous scandal, all while remaining a winner on the court; which I think helped in people moving past the whole thing and re-embracing him. All of his sponsors have renewed there contracts with him since the close of the case, and in 2010 Nike will be launching a Kobe brand. So props to Kobe for not folding under the pressure and continuing to be a winner. He has the perfect perseverance story indeed.
Yo real talk… this isn’t a bad look for Kobe he just might have him a second career on his hand fam is looking real distinguished with the Fonzworth Bentley look.

New Nike commercials are changing the way advertising is done. First Nike came out with the classic The LeBrons, then it was the Lebron and Kobe Chalk Talk series, now they just released the Hyperizing commercials with Andre Iguodala, Kevin Durant, Moe Williams, and Rashard Lewis.
It appears that Kobe Bryant has signed a three year extension with the Lakers for a reported $90 million. This deal will keep Kobe in LA through the 2012 season; it also seems that the Lakers are trying to work out a deal with Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza that will allow them to keep their championship team intact. In other free agent new Carlos Boozer of the Utah Jazz will stay in Utah for the last year of his deal earning his a reported $13 million.
Its a wrap people the NBA Finals is over and the Lakers are the 2009 NBA Champions. Defeating the Orlando Magic by a score of 99-86 gives the Lakers their 15th championship in franchise history; and this land-marks the day the can he do it without Shaq monkey being thrown off Kobe’s back as he collects his fourth ring. The magic were clearly out play as the Lakers were hitting on all cylinders. Kobe, Lamar, Gasol, and Ariza seem to hit everything the put up and they just completely swarmed on defence. The best team definitely won this series. Below are scores and highlights of game 5.
With the Kobe and LeBron puppet commercials being so popular Nike is strategizing to ride this wave all the way to the bank, and testing the market with apparel. They will be releasing t-shirts with the popular puppets plastered on the front shoulder to shoulder. These commercials have been the most popular amongst any campaign of sports apparel company this year. To monetize the popularity Nike is striking while the iron is hot and maximizing the potential of the campaign. You can grab these shirts from NikeStore.com, but trust that supplies will not last long.
