First of all, I want to thank everybody for their constant love and support over these past 6 years! I’m so happy to be back in the studio making new music. I will bring you the best I have to offer with the same dedication that Kobe has on the court. It’s funny how so many rappers get worse as their careers stretch out but true poets get better. We will follow in the footsteps of Maya Angelou, gill Scott Herron and Nina Simone. Their work improved with time. They documented what was happening in culture.
That is our responsibility as the modern day artists and poets, to accurately represent what is happening now, so when the powers that be try to rewrite history you can always look at our works and find truth and sincerity in a world of processed information. Let us soak in positive forces and look down on upon those who masquerade as truth tellers and objective fact givers when in reality everything that is projected has an agenda of brainwashing us, the “consumer”, the public, to believe what they want us to. Let us look past headlines and deal with just a bit of reality in this new decade. We have our own outlets now. We don’t have to believe everything anymore. Now I’ll figure out a way to make that rhyme lol!!!
There has been a lot of allegations thrown around about Teddy Riley abusing his daughters, he finally speaks about the incident and tells his side of the story. Seems like he was a bit aggressive in whooping those heads but kids now days are wild and unruly.
After leaking tracks for more than a year and a half, Big Boi has just turned in his new solo album, “Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.” He tells Billboard.com it will be the first of a batch of new music from the Atlanta duo. “This is all in the next year or so,” Big Boi says, “starting with my album coming at the top of the year, Dre 3000 right after me…and when the solo albums come out, depending on how the fans support them, then we’re gonna give them the Outkast album.” Full interview with Big Boi “Here”
Yo the game has been missing that Dre and Big Boi sound it’s definitely about time for them to drop another album.
Props to brandmakers.com for putting together this fly presentation of the Kanye West Brand very creative and well thought out. Check it Out Here.
He’s more than a musician. More than a producer. And more than his shoes, blogs and books. Though many things come to mind, one word that will forever describe the Kanye West brand, is artist.
His need to speak out against injustice (sorry Taylor), his sensitivity to issues, and even his overconfidence all speak
to the inner conflict that frankly, makes an artist an artist. To live your brand, it has to be honest. Your emotions have to be pure. If you align yourself with things you’re passionate about, push yourself to be your personal best, and stay true
to your beliefs you will ultimately thrive.
The Kanye brand is evidence of that. Like it or not Kanye is a man who is living his brand.
Kanye West has lived up to the mantra that in fashion, one day you’re in, the next day you’re out.
Just two days after pieces from the rapper’s clothing line Pastelle appeared online, the plug was unceremoniously yanked on the fashion project, according to EOnline.com.
West, a self-admitted clotheshorse, had reportedly been working on the clothes for years and had even given sneak peeks of a few pieces at various award shows.
Lately, West has drawn attention to himself for bad behavior, not what he’s got on his back.
Some fashion insiders think Kanye’s actions of late may have contributed to Pastelle going kaput in about the time it takes to thread a bobbin.
At MTV’s Video Music Awards he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift while she was accepting an award.
Is this the come back joint that Chris Brown needs to get his career on track? I’m not sure… Yo Consequence is mad under rated… his last album “Don’t Quit Your Day Job”, was crazy but it wasn’t properly promoted.
Vince Mcmahon owner of the WWE if offering Kanye West $10 million to step in the ring and let some steam of in a wrestling match. This would be a great PR move for the WWE and Kanye, such an event would just attract so many eyes just out of curiosity. Remember, the WWE gave Floyd Mayweather $20 million to take on the Big Show which was a big event for them. They also had Cedric The Entertainer on the show (check clip below) getting his wrestle on.
What are your thoughts, do you think Kanye West should take the money?
Kanye West seems pretty sorry about what happen. I really hope that he does take some time off and figure things out. I always thought that the ego and pride that he displays is beyond confidence but a mask for bigger issues he is struggling with.
Later that night Jay Z, Rihanna, and Kanye preformed Run This Town
Doing what Kanye does… and what makes him Kanye… He spoke out and made young Taylor Swift cry last night. It was pretty bugged out. Do you think Kanye was out of line?
