Well so much for the Jennifer Lopez joining American Idol, Fox decided to move in another direction; People magazine reported Wednesday.
“Her demands got out of hand,” a source told People about Jenny from the Block. “Fox had just had enough.”
Singer-actress Lopez was close to an agreement to join the ever-popular program, which lost judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres after its ninth season.
The 41-year-old Lopez and Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler emerged as front-runners for the spots until the Latina superstar was bumped.
Fox officials have refused to say who was coming aboard the show, or even if incumbent judges Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi are returning. They did say there’s a mid-September target to fill out the panel, whether it stays at three or four.

Former “Fly Girl” Jennifer Lopez is poised to return to television – this time as a judge on “American Idol.” The singer-dancer-actor was close to signing a deal to join Fox TV’s hit singing contest, a person familiar with the negotiations said late Thursday. The person, who was not authorized to comment publicly, spoke on condition of anonymity.
Fox declined comment. Phone and e-mail messages for Lopez’s representatives were not immediately returned. The “American Idol” opening for Lopez comes with comedian-talk show host Ellen DeGeneres’ departure from the show
“American Idol” judge Ellen DeGeneres unexpectedly quit the top-rated television singing show on Thursday after just a year in the job, saying it was not the right fit for her.
The popular U.S. talk show host and comedian, whose addition to the panel had largely disappointed viewers, said the workload was more than she expected and she found it hard to hurt the feelings of contestants.
“A couple months ago, I let (TV network) Fox and the ‘American Idol’ producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” DeGeneres said in a statement.
“It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings,” she added.
DeGeneres, who signed a five year contract with “Idol” in 2009, is the second judge to quit the show this year. Abrasive British judge Simon Cowell left in May to launch his own talent show in late 2011.

Diddy dropped a line in the Oh Let’s Do It Remix “All I touch is J. Lo’s”, but I’m don’t think any of his other chick is balling on Jenny’s level, real deal. It was reports by a source that Jennifer Lopez drop a cool $28.6 million for a bit of privacy at The Cannes Festival, check it out:
The Cannes Film Festival seems to bring the best of everyone I guess. While some celebrities like Cheryl Cole, made pot loads of money from the event, singer-actress Jennifer Lopez is all set to splurge a staggering $28.6 million to hire a yacht from fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, just to keep her privacy in check when in the French city. The yacht can accommodate a crew of four, making the high-seas stay more luxurious than any landside hotels! Although the singing duo of J. Lo and Marc Anthony have attended several high profile events in France like the Monaco Grand Prix and a party in honor of director Martin Scorsese by Gucci, she hasn’t compromised the privacy of her kids and her family.
Well maybe she’s just blowing Mark’s money who knows!

The adoration of celebrities is very interesting to me, even in his death Elvis is still able to garner millions thanks to loyal fans.
The Fame Bureau is holding an exceptional sale of music memorabilia, We Will WOCU, on May 27 in London. And the item to send bidders into a tizzy is an enormous medallion once given to Elvis Presley. It was gifted to The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll by Barron Hilton, co-chairman of The Hilton Hotel group and grandfather of Paris Hilton, on the closing night of his 1975 tour. Elvis wore the medallion with his “Rainfall Jumpsuit” during the gig, which took place at the Hilton hotel in Las Vegas. The medallion is made of solid gold, surrounding an exceptionally rare 1924 St Gaudens $20 gold coin (the St Gaudens double eagle coin is among the most collectible in the world). Furthermore, the medallion is studded with 40 round cut diamonds, each measuring 1.6mm in diameter with color H, clarity VS2 as well as an additional 12 round cut brilliant diamonds measuring 3.45mm color H clarity VS2. The diamonds weigh a cool 2.60 ct in totality while the gold weighs 870 grams. The medallion hangs on a 30 inches-long 18kt fox-tail design chain. The exquisite medallion is expected to fetch between £725,000-£1m ($1million- $1.4million) with bids set to open at £360,000 ($515,000)
The medallion will come accompanied with jewelers’ appraisals and a history of its origins and owners from Elvis Presley to the present day. Courtesy the addition of the rare coin, this medallion will not only attract music buffs and Elvis fans but numismatists as well. Besides the medallion, other Elvis memorabilia to be featured in the auction includes Elvis’s 1957 Black and Pink Cadillac and a stunning Peace Campaign Banner entitled WWIII by John Lennon. Music buffs can also bid for items belonging to various other music legends like The Beatles and John Lennon, Elton John and Led Zeppelin.

If you’re one of the thousands of small business owners and entrepreneurs who have had to close shop since the recession began you’re in good company. And, although they probably have better hair than you do, more than a few celebrities have experienced personal business failures, too. Only they tend to have more to lose – and they have to eat way more crow.
The Real World
Lauren Conrad hoped to parlay her MTV “The Hills” fame into high fashion success, launching the Lauren Conrad Collection in March 2008. The new venture barely got off the ground; it was shut down this spring. At least she can take comfort in knowing that her famed “frenemy”, Heidi Montag, suffered the same fate. Her barely-there clothing line - Heidiwood - also tanked just seven months after its launch.
Investors Put the Squeeze on Somersized Venture
Suzanne Somers, best known as the blond, beautiful and often bubble-headed ”Chrissy” on the 1970s TV show Three’s Company, made a bundle with her uber-successful Thigh Master, but didn’t find as much support for ”Suzanne’s Kitchen” – a make-it-yourself meal preparation franchise that provided ingredients and recipes from Somers’ cookbooks. The business was open for less than three months before changes in the business plan and a disagreement with investors led to a quick closing.

According to People, Marc Anthony – hubby to Jenny Lo – has stepped up his financial swag and purchased a stake in the Miami Dolphins. Marc is one of many celebs who have jumped into the sports world of business. Let’s see if homie can bring a winning spirit to Miami because they sure can use it; Check out the story below:
Marc Anthony has a new project in the works – and it’s not musical: The singer has become a partial owner of the Miami Dolphins, Anthony tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“I’m a huge sports fan,” says Anthony, 40. “These opportunities don’t come
around too often. It’s quite an honor and a privilege to be able to sit here today saying that I’m a part-owner of an NFL team.”
Anthony struck a deal with Stephen Ross, the New York-based real estate entrepreneur who bought a 95-percent stake in the Dolphins franchise in January. The singer did not disclose the financial terms. “It would have probably been cheaper just to buy season tickets,” he said, joking. (Ross paid $1 billion for his share of the team, Sports Illustratedreported at the time.)
Money aside, Anthony says he and Ross shared common goals for the Dolphins.
“We spoke for quite a while about his vision for the team and, like I said, it was just intoxicating,” he says. “It was just a win-win for everybody involved.”
Ross says the feeling is mutual.
“Marc’s a pretty bright guy and he has a lot of interesting ideas,” Ross tells PEOPLE. “We’re trying to do something different and he was thinking outside the box. I think when your minds start going and thinking of all the different possibilities, I thought it would be a great fit and fun to do something.”
While the deal’s been made, Anthony still has one more thing to finalize: Finding a house in Miami for his family.
Anthony says he and wife Jennifer Lopez are house hunting now. “Jennifer loves Miami,” he says. “So she’s really, really happy about this because we’re going to be spending a lot of time down there.”
