Rapper Fabolous switched up his swag to hit the NASDAQ and ring the opening bell.
Accompanied by the organization known as After-School All-Stars, a non-profit which the rapper is the celebrity spokesman for, he reported to the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City’s Time Square nice and early on Monday to get the market rolling.
The rapper joins the likes of LeBron James, Common and Kobe Bryant as they have each served as spokesman for the organization that was founded by former actor-turned-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger back in 1992.
First of all, I want to thank everybody for their constant love and support over these past 6 years! I’m so happy to be back in the studio making new music. I will bring you the best I have to offer with the same dedication that Kobe has on the court. It’s funny how so many rappers get worse as their careers stretch out but true poets get better. We will follow in the footsteps of Maya Angelou, gill Scott Herron and Nina Simone. Their work improved with time. They documented what was happening in culture.
That is our responsibility as the modern day artists and poets, to accurately represent what is happening now, so when the powers that be try to rewrite history you can always look at our works and find truth and sincerity in a world of processed information. Let us soak in positive forces and look down on upon those who masquerade as truth tellers and objective fact givers when in reality everything that is projected has an agenda of brainwashing us, the “consumer”, the public, to believe what they want us to. Let us look past headlines and deal with just a bit of reality in this new decade. We have our own outlets now. We don’t have to believe everything anymore. Now I’ll figure out a way to make that rhyme lol!!!
There has been a lot of allegations thrown around about Teddy Riley abusing his daughters, he finally speaks about the incident and tells his side of the story. Seems like he was a bit aggressive in whooping those heads but kids now days are wild and unruly.

“We’re talking about a triple-team collaboration that’s really gonna hurt the game,”Leslie told MTV recently in New York.“Your boy Fab, the boy Ne-Yo and yours truly on the board. It’s really gonna put a hurting on everybody.” “This guy is a creative genius,”Fab said of Leslie.“I told y’all we was working.”
Loso and Leslie said the trio are open to collaborating with others on the project. “The table is open,”Leslie said. “If you’re bringing something to the table, you can break bread.”
“You just gotta bring some good food to the table,”Fab co-signed.
“It’s about conceptualizing,”Ryan added about how the LP will shape up. “It’s not gonna be a project that’s thrown together. It’s gonna be a real roundtable, and we’re gonna talk about really putting something in the atmosphere that contributes something that’s never been done before.”
The Black Eyed Peas’ E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) was No. 5 on the Billboard charts with 40,700 totaling 958,200 records after 11 weeks on the charts. The Peas also has the longest standing run on the Euro Hot 100 charts with their hit I Got A feeling standing 21 weeks at #1. They also knocked the late great king of pop Michael Jackson out of the number one Top 100 Albums spot on the Euro Charts.
Maxwell’s Black Summer’s Night came in at No. 11 with 30,300 with a total of 661,400 units after two months.
Sean Paul’s Imperial Blaze debuted at No. 12. with 28,500 records sold in its first week.
Fabolous‘ Loso’s Way dropped to No. 19 with 18,400 totaling only 178,000 scanned discs.
Eminem’s Relapse was No. 22 on the charts with 17,900 after 14 weeks Em has sold a total of 1,379,600 albums to date.
Beyonce’sI Am…Sasha Fierce came in at No. 40 pushing 11,000 copies in its 41st week totaling 2,370,700 discs sold.
T.I. hit a note worthy mark reaching 2x platinum status with Paper Trail. The album sold 2,900 copies this week and pushed the King of The South into double platinum status. The album stands at 2,000,700 units sold.
Cleveland Browns Wide Receiver Donte Stallworth gets suspended for the 2009 season for his guilty plea in the manslaughter case he faced this year. I think that its very unfortunate the whole situation but hopefully Donte will allow this situation, unfortunate as it is build him up rather than tear him down.
