Snoop is probably the only rapper that from grandmothers to little kids everybody loves.
So you pull into your local parking lot and the attendant looks really familiar. You’re sure it’s someone famous, but he tells you “Nah, not me but ‘I Get That A Lot’” lol.
That’s the premise of a new CBS show. Where your favorite celebrities work ordinary jobs, confusing the crap out of unsuspecting customers.
Snoop know how to keep those checks coming, fam is also kicking up major dust in Bollywood.
‘I Get That A Lot‘ airs Wednesday’s at 8 pm Eastern.
Jimmy Iovine the mogul behind all the music that you love form Game, Lady Gaga, Akon, Eminem, 50 Cent, Dre, Keyshia Cole and many more speaks on Dre’s new brand Beats By Dre. Notice the logo on the computer, I willing to bet my mothers crib that there taking this brand beyond head phones and recording equipment, mark my words.
Starts with Lady Gaga talking about her MTV performance and the FAME KILLS being canceled
Then Dr Dre answers a couple questions about Detox
Any upcoming projects?
Only my album that I’ve been working on for the last 10 years, that’s it, Detox record.
Hopefully I’ll get it done at the end of this year and we can hear it next year.
What’s the holdup?
Motivation, other things getting in the way, that’s it.
This joint just feels good. Snoop with the old school Little Ghetto Boy flow and Dre with the classic production yes, yes, yes!!! When is The Detox album coming?
Jay Z leads the pack as Forbes releases their 2009 hip hop cash kings list. Jigga Man brought in $35 million close to 1/3 of what he made last year which was a hefty $82 million. One thing that I can say is that its power in number and when that whole Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit/Interscope team was moving together there was nothing in hip hop that could compare. They had the biggest artist in hip hop worldwide and the earning potential would have been endless. It’s great to see that Game has matured and put the beef behind him, now lets see what 50 Cent reaction will be. What are your thoughts do you think that Game was sincere, or is this a marketing scheme for the new album? What do you think 50 Cent reaction will be to Game’s apology will be? Check out the MTV interview below:
Hip Hop has never seen a more consistent and profitable trio than the hip hop juggernauts Eminem, Dr. Dre, and 50 Cent. They have the perfect strategy for profitability not to mention support of the biggest record executive Jimmy Ivine. Each artist in their own right has unmatched brands, talents, and costal support.
Eminem’s Brand:
Em is a Midwest representer, he has sold over 34mil records in the U.S. alone making him the #1 selling rap artist ever. He owns Shady Records which has had ten out of fourteen of its releases hit gold and platinum status (most notable artist 50 Cent), Shady 45 a Sirius Satellite radio station, and Shady Clothing.
Dr. Dre’s Brand:
Dre is a west coast representer who has over 25 years in the business. He is the most successful hip hop producer of all time; he owns Aftermath Records (most notable artist Eminem and 50 Cent) and was co owner of Death Row Records (most notable artist Snoop Dogg and 2 Pac). He is owner of Beats By Dre the most advanced head phones ever developed. In 2001 he sold his ownership in Aftermath Music to Interscope for $52 mil and in 2008 he was ranked 9th in 2008 from earnings of $15million.
50 Cent’s Brand:
50 is an East Coast representer, and has sold over 23mil records worldwide. He owns a G-Unit Brand which includes a record company (over 25mil records sold worldwide), video game, clothing line, shoe deal, movie production, real estate company, and jewelry. 50 has nine films under his belt and is now one of the most sought after rappers to appear in films. He received one of hip hop’s biggest paydays ever when Coca Cola bought Vitamin Water for $4 billion and he reportedly received over $100mil after taxes.
By Em, 50, and Dre being so spread out in the market place, and their relationships being so close they are able to remain relevant despite one of their absence in the industry. If 50 is dropping an album, doing a movie, or any type of business Em and Dre is represented in the market place by his presence, and vice versa. This synergy is unmatched by any team in the industry. Their ability to attract marketing deals and reach consumers in their perspective lanes, gives them leverage to consistently remain dominate. There team work is a great example of what you can accomplish when you set egos aside and work together. Learn About It!!!
The rap jagurnauts are back at it on the set of Em’s new video for his first single “We Made You.” This is about to be a big event for hip hop to have all three rap giants to be droping albums back to back to back 2009 gose to Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit….
