Kim Kardashian continues to amaze me, her ability build her brand without any specific talent (I say that not as a bad thing) is just something I’ve never really seen before. recently she wrote on her blog that she will be launching a new clothing and accessory line with her sister and mother on QVC.
She wrote, ” such exciting news!! Kourtney, Khloe, mom and I are launching a fabulous new clothing and accessories collection for QVC called K-Dash by Kardashian!!
The collection will debut on QVC’s Fashion’s Night Out, live from New York’s Rockefeller Center on Friday, September 10 at 9pm EST and we’ll be there to celebrate and reveal the collection to you guys.
This is such an amazing project for us and we can’t wait to show you everything. It’s a dream come true to have our own clothing line and we’ve worked really hard to make sure we’ve created gorgeous pieces at affordable prices… I just know you guys are going to love it!” Pics of the line below:

Paris Hilton was arrested late Friday after a police motorcycle officer smelled marijuana smoke wafting from a black Cadillac Escalade driven by her boyfriend on the Las Vegas Strip, then found cocaine in her purse, authorities said.
A crowd quickly gathered when Hilton and Las Vegas nightclub mogul Cy Waits were stopped about 11:30 p.m. Friday in the vehicle near the Wynn Las Vegas resort on Las Vegas Boulevard, police said. The 29-year-old celebrity socialite asked to go into the hotel for privacy because of the number people gathering, said Officer Marcus Martin.
Police later found a substance in Hilton’s purse that tests showed to be cocaine, Martin said. He said it was “a small amount” of the drug, a package of the size usually associated with personal use.
Hilton was arrested on suspicion of felony cocaine possession. Waits, 34, was arrested on misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Both were booked into the Clark County jail, where Martin said Hilton was released without bail about 2:45 a.m. Saturday. Sgt. John Sheahan said Hilton received no special treatment during her brief time at the jail, and that release without bail was common in such cases.
Less than an hour later, Hilton’s Twitter account was updated with a posting that said the actress was in bed watching the television show “Family Guy,” and then that she was going to sleep. It was unclear if the tweets came from her, were posted by time-release or were sent by someone else.
If convicted of the low-grade felony, Hilton would get probation. Any violation of probation would be punishable by one to four years in Nevada state prison.

The movie – which is being directed by ‘Training Day’ filmmaker Antoine Fuqua – will be written by Stephen J. Rivele and Chris Wilkinson, who both were involved in the screenplay for 2001 sports biography ‘Ali’.
According to New York Magazine’s Vulture blog, the movie – which does not yet have an actor to portray Tupac attached – could begin shooting in mid-November ahead of an expected 2011 release.
Talking about the project, Rivele admitted he knew little about the rapper – who was killed in a drive-by shooting in 1996 – until he began to research.
He said: “I knew nothing about Shakur. But it became clear he was essentially a 19th century Romantic poet who found himself in the 21st century.
“He was obviously very angry, and had been subjected to a great deal of violence in the home, in the streets and in prison. But he was just beginning to shed that anger and look for a purer voice.”
Wilkinson confirmed the script would focus on the last day of his life, with flashbacks to his final four years.

Lindsay Lohan has experienced some high-highs and some low-lows in the entertainment industry. Before her short stint in the bink and rehab many had wrote her off as a thing of the past. Now home and thinking clearly Lohan is surrounding herself with a comeback team in which she hopes can take her career back to the road where it was once headed. According to sources Lohan has taken on Britney Spears comeback team, check it out:
Linsay Lohan is ready to undergo a Britney Spears-style life transformation to get her career back on track.
The troubled starlet has handed the reins of her messy finances to Lou Taylor, the savvy, no-nonsense Nashville businesswoman who guided Spears back from the brink. Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, is also believed to be interested in getting involved in Lohan’s music career.
Lohan is currently lying low at home in LA, where just two days out of rehab, she’s already turning down offers of up to $150,000 to host parties at clubs and casinos.
One source told us, “It doesn’t seem right — Lindsay just got out of rehab and prison, and certain casino owners are offering a ton of money for her to host a party and be around alcohol when she has specifically been told not to.”
Another source said, “Lindsay knows she has to stay home and behave, she knows one wrong move could land her back in jail. She has support from her mom, Dina, and Lou Taylor, who is a strong influence and a deeply religious and principled woman.
“Lou has been working on fashion deals for Lindsay including the Marc Ecko ads and a deal with a Russian fashion company,” the insider said. “Larry Rudolph was like a father figure to Britney, and Lou is referring some business to him.”

In China Jackie Chan is king, he has just about every company knocking down his door to endorse their products and he is not turning any brand away. While I’m sure he’s raking in millions in endorsement deals Jackie’s image is beginning to take a hit due to failure of many of these products. Jackie has to learn all money isn’t good money. Check out the story from the LAtimes below:
Reporting from Beijing — Judging from billboards and television commercials in China, film star Jackie Chan has never met a product he wouldn’t endorse. Travel the country and you’ll see the Hong Kong native’s handsome visage hawking electric bikes, anti-virus software, even frozen dumplings.
But although the Chan name has translated to big bucks at the box office, not every product he touches turns to gold. In fact, when news broke last month that an anti- hair-loss shampoo he promoted allegedly contained carcinogens, Chinese cyberspace and media were buzzing about the “Jackie Chan curse.”
Consider the auto repair school that Chan plugged to aspiring Chinese mechanics: It became enmeshed in a diploma scandal. Another of his sponsors, a maker of video compact discs, went bankrupt and saw its manager jailed for fraud. An educational computer that Chan pitched to children called the Subor Learning Machine flopped. And a cola he quaffed named Fenhuang fizzled.
More recently, an air-conditioner brand that Chan promoted was hit by a report that one of its units exploded. Media wags couldn’t resist invoking the Jackie jinx.
“He has become the coolest spokesperson in history,” said an editorial in Oriental Guardian, a Nanjing newspaper. “A man who can destroy anything.”
In the U.S., companies have learned the hard way about the risks of using celebrities to pitch their products. Philandering cost Lakers star Kobe Bryant and golfer Tiger Woods millions in lost endorsements.
But rather than personal scandals, Chan’s difficulties stem from his willingness to shill just about anything, including well-known global brands (Canon cameras), obscure regional products (Sinian sticky rice balls) and so much more (Hong Kong tourism). His seeming lack of discrimination has made it more likely that he would pitch some clunkers, analysts said.
“When you have someone with so many brands, the probability of things going wrong is markedly higher,” said Saurabh Sharma, a strategic planning director for Ogilvy & Mather Beijing. “It’s rare to be in the industry for so long and also be clear of controversy.”

T.I. is adding movie producer to his resume with his new film “Takers.” Not only did he play the main villain, he also was behind the scenes as one of the action thriller’s producers.
In an interview with MTV he stated, “I did assist with the producing. “I lost sleep to say the least,” he added about juggling all of his professional and personal obligations while “Takers” was in production. “I increased my responsibilities and just basically sacrificed my time. Just sacrificed in every way possible whenever necessary.”
With so many artist getting exploited by the entertainment industry, its good to see when an artist is able to leverage the success for their personal benefit and transcend their way of entry into the business. T.I. is definitely in the fore front of young talent to become the next hip hop mogul. Check out the trailer of “Takers” below:

Despite not having written a single book in the past year, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer raked in an eye-popping $40 million from her sexy vampire tales, Forbes reports. Meyer landed the second place spot on the magazine’s new ranking of the world’s highest paid authors, easily eclipsing Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling. About $7 million of Meyer’s 2009 windfall came from movies adapted from the Twilight series, with most of the balance attributable to previously published works. In June the third Twilight adaptation made $175 million in its first six days. Meyer still has a long way to go to catch up with the world’s highest paid author, James Patterson, who snagged the #1 spot with a whopping $70 million paycheck. Unlike Meyer however, Patterson has to keep churning out thrillers; he’s contracted to produce another 17 books by the end of 2012. Stephen King placed third on the list with $34 million, while Rowling languishes in last place with a measly $10 million. Of course she’s already a billionaire.
