If watches are your thing then Hermes has a nice timepiece for you. The new Hermes Clipper Automatic Chronograph is cold blooded. It boasts a titanium case (measuring 44mm), it features an AR-coated sapphire crystal and a sapphire display back. The simple and subtle design is what appeals to me the most about this timepiece. The orange seconds hand stands apart as it moves around the grey background. Powered by a Swiss automatic ETA caliber Valjoux 7750 movement, with 25 jewels, and 28,800 vph, this timepiece boasts of a power reserve of 46 hours. The watch is water resistant to 200 meters and also displays the date. Starting price is around $4,500.00

According to Robb Report last month, Richard Mille’s RM 025 Tourbillon Chronograph Diver’s Watch (about $450,000) finally arrived at U.S. dealers, more than a year after it was unveiled to the world. As one would expect, Mille went to extremes with its first submersion into the dive realm. The RM 025 boasts a carbon nano-fiber tourbillon chronograph movement housed in a (notably) round tripartite case designed to stay watertight to 300 meters. Mille recently followed up with a slightly smaller (47mm) and less complicated titanium RM 028 (about $79,000) with hours, minutes, and central seconds. www.richardmille.com
