Paris Hilton was arrested late Friday after a police motorcycle officer smelled marijuana smoke wafting from a black Cadillac Escalade driven by her boyfriend on the Las Vegas Strip, then found cocaine in her purse, authorities said.

A crowd quickly gathered when Hilton and Las Vegas nightclub mogul Cy Waits were stopped about 11:30 p.m. Friday in the vehicle near the Wynn Las Vegas resort on Las Vegas Boulevard, police said. The 29-year-old celebrity socialite asked to go into the hotel for privacy because of the number people gathering, said Officer Marcus Martin.

Police later found a substance in Hilton’s purse that tests showed to be cocaine, Martin said. He said it was “a small amount” of the drug, a package of the size usually associated with personal use.

Hilton was arrested on suspicion of felony cocaine possession. Waits, 34, was arrested on misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Both were booked into the Clark County jail, where Martin said Hilton was released without bail about 2:45 a.m. Saturday. Sgt. John Sheahan said Hilton received no special treatment during her brief time at the jail, and that release without bail was common in such cases.

Less than an hour later, Hilton’s Twitter account was updated with a posting that said the actress was in bed watching the television show “Family Guy,” and then that she was going to sleep. It was unclear if the tweets came from her, were posted by time-release or were sent by someone else.

If convicted of the low-grade felony, Hilton would get probation. Any violation of probation would be punishable by one to four years in Nevada state prison.

Lindsay Lohan has experienced some high-highs and some low-lows in the entertainment industry. Before her short stint in the bink and rehab many had wrote her off as a thing of the past. Now home and thinking clearly Lohan is surrounding herself with a comeback team in which she hopes can take her career back to the road where it was once headed. According to sources Lohan has taken on Britney Spears comeback team, check it out:

Linsay Lohan is ready to undergo a Britney Spears-style life transformation to get her career back on track.

The troubled starlet has handed the reins of her messy finances to Lou Taylor, the savvy, no-nonsense Nashville businesswoman who guided Spears back from the brink. Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, is also believed to be interested in getting involved in Lohan’s music career.

Lohan is currently lying low at home in LA, where just two days out of rehab, she’s already turning down offers of up to $150,000 to host parties at clubs and casinos.

One source told us, “It doesn’t seem right — Lindsay just got out of rehab and prison, and certain casino owners are offering a ton of money for her to host a party and be around alcohol when she has specifically been told not to.”

Another source said, “Lindsay knows she has to stay home and behave, she knows one wrong move could land her back in jail. She has support from her mom, Dina, and Lou Taylor, who is a strong influence and a deeply religious and principled woman.

“Lou has been working on fashion deals for Lindsay including the Marc Ecko ads and a deal with a Russian fashion company,” the insider said. “Larry Rudolph was like a father figure to Britney, and Lou is referring some business to him.”

(CNN) Three years ago, Nicki Minaj was getting fired from jobs more often than she was paying her rent on time.

The Trinidad-born, New York City-raised artist has written lyrics about having an alcoholic father who once tried to burn down the house with her mom inside.

Certainly, Onika “Nicki Minaj” Maraj seems to be an unlikely candidate to become one of the most intriguing hip-hop artists of today.

After spending the early part of her childhood at her grandmother’s house, Minaj eventually landed in Queens with her parents. By the third grade, she already had an affinity for singing and acting and would later attend the famed LaGuardia Arts High School to study drama.

“I was thinking in my head I was going to be a famous actress,” Minaj says. “When I got out of high school, I didn’t really want to take time and go and audition, I just wanted to get a job and work and get my own place.”

Minaj quickly became bored with the nine to five and decided to give rap music a shot.

A friend in her neighborhood asked Minaj to write a hook for his song, and the young 20-something delivered a chorus and verse that left her collaborator in awe. Figuring if she really put her mind to it that she could succeed in rap, Minaj decided to quit her last job. And then she told her mother.

“I will never forget the panic and fear in her eyes,” she says. “My heart just frickin’ collapsed for a second. My mother was always like, ‘Yeah, you can do anything,’ but her eyes couldn’t lie …” That was then.

Today, Nicki Minaj is one of the most influential female artists in hip-hop’s male-dominated landscape.

She is signed to Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money label, has won two BET Awards and is up for best new artist at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Minaj has also had eight songs land on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart, including three in the Top 10. Her current single, “Your Love,” sits atop the rap charts, and she has collaborated with everyone from Mariah Carey to Kanye West.

Well we heard of the $100 million divorce settlement she received, now Tiger’s ex is speaking out for the first time, check  it out:

Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren said she’s “been through hell” since her hubby’s infidelity surfaced last November — but that she “feels stronger than I ever have” following the split, according to an interview released today.

Nordegren told People magazine she and Woods tried for months to reconcile.

In the end, a marriage “without trust and love” wasn’t good for anyone, Nordegren said in her first, and what she called last, interview.

On Thanksgiving night outside their Florida home, Woods drove his SUV into a tree outside his driveway, setting off a series of shocking revelations that the golf superstar had been cheating on his wife with a bevy of chicks.

The couple officially announced their divorce on Monday. Nordegren told People she never hit Woods on the night of the car crash.

There was never any violence inside or outside our home,” she said. “The speculation … is just truly ridiculous.”

Video and rest of the interview when you…. Read More…

I found this article quite interesting, it stated that Madonna could be the first billion dollar pop star if she was to accept a 5 year $1 billion deal Las Vegas deal that was offered to her. There were a few facts that were left out about that billion dollars, like taxes, agent and management fees. the story makes for good news but even if she does accept the deal she still will not the worth a billion dollars. Read more below

How much would a Las Vegas casino pay to have the Material Girl strutting her 52-year-old stuff across the stage on a nightly basis? If we are to believe the UK’s Sun newspaper, she’d get a $1 billion payday. The tabloid set tongues wagging on both sides of the pond by claiming Madonna is weighing up a billion dollar offer to take up a five-year residency on the Strip.

If this is true, Madonna would become pop music’s first billionaire, joining other female entertainers like Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and Oprah Winfrey on our billionaire ranks. She would also once and for all show the pretender to her crown, Lady Gaga – who beat her by six spots on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 rich list this year – that she still reigns as Queen of Pop.

In a recent interview with Vibe Magazine, Diddy let off a little steam discussing allegations of him being a back stabber, con-man, thief, and many other adjetives that have been used to describe him. Read his comments below:

Diddy: “There’s an off perception that needs to be addressed about me that I have ever robbed somebody or mistreated somebody, or tried to be ruthless or whatever in this game. Like, all this year I’ve heard people say, “Where’s Carl Thomas, where’s Black Rob, where’s G.Dep? Where are these artists?” And for some reason they go ahead and equate that, cause those artists aren’t with me, that I’ve done something wrong or malicious or conniving. It’s something that I do have a problem with because they don’t have no proof that I’ve ever done nothing like that.”

It’s a misconception. Especially someone who’s been brought up like me. I’ve been brought up to work hard for mine and never take from nobody. And to always try and help people. But people don’t understand this game that were in. You have a short life expectancy. It’s rare to a me, to be a Jay-Z, an LL, a Nas. That sh*t is a rarity. That’s not even one percent of the rappers. If you look at any artists that were on Ruff Ryders, where they at? If you look at any artist that was on Def Jam at the time we started, where they at? If you look at any artist that was on Roc-A-Fella, Jive, where they at? It’s not like anything was wrong with them. It’s just that you have a four, five-year average in this game. That’s just something I wanted to address.

My Thoughts: He does have a point but I think the misconception that many artist have in being with the black owned labels is that the are lead to believe that they were a tight knitted family once signed to the label; and we all know that thats the furtherest thing from the truth. If you look at most of the black owned labels they were ran on principles that applied in the under world/the streets/the hood. When you take these young artist from the streets and bring them into the “family” and knight the with a chain and tell them they are family, of coarse when the record sells start slowing up and they are kicked to the curb they are going to be upset because they were lead to believe that they were family; and we all know that family stick together through think and thin.

Here is another perspective from dakidd and its right on point:

The purpose of being on a “family” label is that a “family” label develops you, guides you, and pushes your career… the artist = the talent; the label = the machine. This is not to say the artist should enter shitty deals and not read their paperwork but Ruff Ryders, Bad Boy, RocaFella, G-Unit, No Limit, Cash Money etc did not promote or set their labels up in the same way Geffen, Def Jam, Interscope, Jive or even Koch did.

Those labels let you know they were just a label and you and your team had to put the work in… all of the black owned labels promoted that they were not just your label but they were your team; when in retrospect a number of the situations were just business like at Geffen, Jive or any other non black owned label.Thats why there are so many disgruntled artists, I’m sure if Puffy presented his label in the same manner Warner Music Group runs their label these people wouldn’t be so pissed.

What are your thoughts do artist have a right to feel cheated?
