According to sources Rush Limbaugh and Dick Chaney are getting fed up with Colin Powell’s lack of support of the republican party, and feel he needs to just witch sides. First his support of Obama during his run to the White House didn’t sit well with the party, now Powell has stirred up the Republican Party’s very public internal debate about the direction of the party, and asserted it’s losing because it doesn’t appeal to moderates like him. Limbaugh and Chaney has been very out spoken about Powell and his negative comments and stated that they were under the impression he had droped out of the party.
Powell says he’s still very much a Republican and said the party would be better off to include more moderates like him. “The Republican Party is losing north, south, east, west; men, woman, white, blacks and Hispanics,” Powell said in an interview with CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “I think the Republican Party has to take a hard look at itself and decide: What kind of party are we?”As it has squabbled within the family, the party has wandered. Most analysts say it will get back on the right track when its next leaders emerge. Is Powell emerging as a voice of the moderates in the party or should he just come on over to the democrats?
