
In 2002 Lil Wayne began his quest for hip hop dominance with flooding the market with Tha Drought mixtape and Tha Prefix mixtape, where he freestyled over The Black Album which lead to his 2004 release Tha Carter which had two subsequent albums Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III, all of which has gone platinum and beyond. Since the first installment of Tha Carter Wanye has out worked the competition physically and lyrically to become in most eyes the hottest raper in the industry. With the title of hip hop king under his belt Lil Weezy is now moving towards Rock-N-Roll dominance with his new album Rebirth it will be interesting to see if the success transfers music genres.
